Weddings and Honeymoons

In this small Polynesian Village that overlooks a lagoon of magical colors or in the Gardens of the Sheraton, a Tahitian wedding ceremony will be one to cherish for years to come. Sheraton also performs memorable Anniversary ceremonies for those who wish to renew their vows.
You'll find below an example of your Polynesian wedding. Upon their arrival at the beach on a canoe, the couple is greeted by a festive band of local musician. The bride is prepared for the wedding, she is massaged with Monoi and dressed like a Tahitian Princess. Meanwhile the groom is taken by canoe to a small beach where he is tattooed (with a pen) and dressed like a Tahitian Chief.

The Priest invites the couple in the Marae (Ceremonial Grounds) where the ceremony is performed in Tahitian by the Priest and, translated by an interpreter to you. While the ceremony is being performed, the village's women sing to you beautiful religious songs.

Champagne is served to the couple while they will be watching a festival in their honour with Polynesian dancers. Afterwards the couple is taken to the Royal Tahitian Floating House to enjoy a romantic cruise and admire the magical beauty of the coral reefs, fishs and lagoon.
